Optimizing Industrial Effluent Treatment: Advanced Technologies and Strategic Solutions for Enhanced Performance
Gain practical knowledge and confidence to apply appropriate technologies, manage IETS effectively, and address complex industrial effluent treatment challenges while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Description
Establishing an effective Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) is essential to ensure that treatment technologies and strategies are appropriate for the industry and comply with the Environmental Quality (Industrial Effluent) Regulations 2009. Due to the wide range of available treatment technologies and the complexity of industrial wastewater, selecting the most suitable solution can be challenging for Competent Persons. This often results in difficulties in identifying effective treatment approaches that meet regulatory and operational requirements.
This course provides a comprehensive overview of IETS treatment technologies, covering conventional physical, chemical, and biological processes, as well as advanced treatment methods such as membrane processes and advanced oxidation processes. Participants will gain practical knowledge and confidence to apply appropriate technologies, manage IETS effectively, and address complex industrial effluent treatment challenges while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Course Objectives
At the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Comprehend the IETS systems and the conventional treatment such as Physical Treatment processes and its applications.
- Comprehend Chemical and Biological treatment processes and their application in different type of industries. Coagulant and Flocculant processes, Aerobic and Anaerobic processes and their principles in various types of IETS applications.
- Discussion on Membrane processes such as Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultrafiltration (UF) and Nanofiltration (NF). Study on Advance Oxidation Processes such as UV Oxidation and Ozonation.
Who Should Attend?
- Certified Environmental Professional (Competent Person) in Industrial Effluent Treatment System & Sewage Treatment Plant (CePIETSO-PCP, CePIETSO-BP, CepSTPO)
- EHS Manager
- Environmental Monitoring Committee (EMC) members
- Environmental Officer/Executive
- Technicians who handle IETS.
