Scheduled Waste Carbon Management From Compliance to Cost Optimization
This 2-day training equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to understand, calculate, and manage the carbon impacts and costs of scheduled waste treatment. Participants will learn to compare treatment options and develop strategies towards carbon-neutral and net-zero waste operations.
Description
As organisations place greater emphasis on carbon reduction and sustainable waste management, understanding the environmental and financial impact of scheduled waste treatment is becoming increasingly important. This 2-day training provides participants with a practical understanding of carbon footprint, greenhouse gas (GHG) emmissions, and the carbon costs associated with different scheduled waste treatment methods, while also covering the identification and classification of scheduled waste under Malaysian regulations.
The training goes beyond compliance by equipping participants with practical approaches to evaluate and compare waste treatment options. Through carbon footprint and carbon cost calculations, LCA-Lite methodology, workshops, and practical activities, participants will learn how to assess treatment impacts, develop carbon-neutral waste management strategies, and establish a roadmap towards net-zero waste operations.
Course Objectives
- Explain carbon footprint and greenhouse gas concepts
- Identify and classify scheduled waste under Malaysian regulations
- Evaluate GHG emissions from various waste treatment methods
- Calculate carbon footprint and carbon cost associated with scheduled waste
- Compare waste treatment options using LCA-Lite methodology
- Develop carbon-neutral waste management strategies
- Prepare a roadmap towards net-zero waste operations
