Maximizing Profit and Performance: The Role of Environmental Monitoring Committees for Business Future

Understand the importance of establishment of an effective Environmental Performance Monitoring Committee and ensure that the Environmental Facilities operates effectively and efficiently.

Description

Establishment of an effective Environmental Monitoring Committee (EMC) for the management and control of Scheduled Waste Management (SWM), Air Pollution Control System (APCS) and Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) are extremely critical to ensure that the Environmental Facilities are operating at optimum condition and hence ensure that the systems are in compliance with the Environmental Quality Regulations.

However, if a company leave the tasks of maintaining the Environmental Facilities to the few Certified Environmental Professional or Competent Person alone, and with minimum of ineffective involvement of the EPMC, it will result in poor maintenance of Environmental Facilities and hence result in non-compliance. The course will cover the general descriptions of Environmental Facilities such as Scheduled Waste Management, Air Pollution Control System and Industrial Effluent Treatment System. It also covers the establishment of Environmental Performance Monitoring Committee. It provides guidance on design of environmental check list for data collection as well as chart plotting and performance analysis. Eventually, it shows how the Environmental Monitoring Committee Report should be prepared and discussed, hence leads to improvement and compliance.

In conclusion, the participants will understand the importance of establishment of an effective Environmental Performance Monitoring Committee for the 3 types of Environmental Facilities. They will learn the way to do performance data collection, chart plotting as well as preparation of EPMC meeting report. Participants will finally conduct the EPMC meeting, discuss on the issues and seek for EMC members feedback and agreement on the improvement suggestions. Eventually ensure that the Environmental Facilities operates effectively and efficiently and are in compliance with Environmental Quality Regulations.
