Reducing Losses and Costs: Optimized Waste Management through Co-Processing and Special Management
This course will equip the participants with general practices and techniques in waste minimization.
Description
With the introduction and encouragement from Department Of Environment (DOE) for Waste Generators to minimize waste, a paper was published in 2015. Waste Generators are encouraged to dispose wastes through working with cement processing plants. Also, under Environment Quality (Scheduled Waste) Regulation 2005, Regulation No. 7 Special Management, Waste Generators are encouraged to work closely with other premises in order to minimize the waste.
The course allows us to learn other waste minimization techniques. Among them, waste can be minimized by working closely with suppliers, waste collectors and contractors. Other techniques such as waste segregations, oil, solvent and metal recovery are also discussed.
In conclusion, this course will equip the participants with general practices and techniques in waste minimization.
