Boosting Business Efficiency Through Smart Scheduled Waste Management and Emission Reduction (Physical)
This course will equip the participants with the various techniques used for minimization of wastes, with particular attention on the use of equipment, the improvement in engineering and process, and lastly, through waste segregation.
Description
Plenty of waste minimization techniques and ideas have been presented in other courses. However, due to limited time, we have to concentrate and be selective in presenting on some of these techniques.
The course allows us to learn waste minimization techniques through the use of equipment especially for oil, solvent and metal reduction. Besides, trainers will also bring out the practical cases in the minimization of waste through engineering & process improvement. These include the use of less hazardous material as well as improvement in packaging in order to reduce container wastes. Lastly, some wastes can be minimized through segregation and practical cases are brought up for discussion.
In conclusion, this course will equip the participants with the various techniques used for minimization of wastes, with particular attention on the use of equipment, the improvement in engineering and process, and lastly, through waste segregation.
Course Objectives
At the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Understand the types and characteristics of scheduled waste in industrial settings.
- Learn proper handling, storage, and disposal techniques in compliance with EQA (Scheduled Waste) Regulations 2005.
