Working at Height Competency Training

Participants will gain a clear understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and the application of the hierarchy of control in managing work-at-height risks. The training also emphasises the correct inspection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe climbing techniques, and emergency response procedures in the event of a fall. Suitable for a wide range of industries.

Description

Working at height remains one of the leading causes of serious injuries and fatalities in the workplace, particularly in industries such as construction, maintenance, and engineering. Whether it involves working on rooftops, scaffolding, ladders, or elevated platforms, the risks associated with falls and falling objects are significant — and often preventable with the right knowledge and practices.

This Working at Height Competency Training is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge, practical skills, and safety awareness required to perform work at height safely and in compliance with legal requirements. The programme goes beyond basic awareness by focusing on real workplace scenarios, proper use of fall protection systems, and the responsibilities of both workers and supervisors in maintaining a safe working environment.
